Jimmy Wayne Medlin

Jimmy Wayne Medlin, age 73, of Aurora, was born November 20, 1949, in Stone County, the son of Melvin and Jessie (Tharp) Medlin and went to meet Jesus on Thursday, May 18, 2023.

Jim was a member of the Faith Full Gospel Church in Aurora. He was a life-long trucker and was a paint and body man.

On June 15, 1968, he married Kathy Wise, in Crane.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of almost 55 years, Kathy; three children, Kevin (Tammy) Medlin, Greg (Amy) Medlin and Christina (Jason) Batson all of Aurora; eight grandchildren, Brittany Neely, Kyle, Zachary, Clint, Noah and Stetson Medlin, Karlie Powers and Cameron Batson; six great-grandchildren, Briley and Beau Neely, Maggie, Oakley, Benjamin and Emersyn Medlin; two sisters, Linda Potter and Sherry Medlin; one brother, Ron Medlin; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Angie) Wise; sister-in-law, Gloria Branstetter and a host of family and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by, his parents, Melvin, and Jessie; two brothers, Herman, and Albert Medlin; brother-in-law, Laverne Potter; sister-in-law, Carolyn Woody; in-laws, Jack and Joan Wise and grandson, Colt Medlin.

A funeral service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2023, at the Faith Full Gospel Church. Burial will follow at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at the church.
