Loyd Williams

Loyd Williams passed away on March 13, 2023 at home, in Aurora.

Loyd was born on December 31, 1942 to Jess and Lois (Robbins) Williams in Crane. Loyd and his three brothers, Jerry, Gene, and Paul were raised on a farm outside of Crane.

Loyd was a graduate of Crane High School in 1960.

Loyd married his loving wife, Mary Hartwigsen, in 1961. Together they raised three children: Doug, Scott, and Kimberly.

After Loyd spent several years working in the industrial industry, he found his true passion in farming. His favorite years were spent running a successful farm on the very farm he was raised. Loyd was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising mules and a good hound. Through all of his accomplishments, his greatest joy in life was his family. Loyd was a devoted member of the Aurora Church of Christ.

Loyd is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Mary; two sons, Doug Williams of Crane, and Scott Williams, and wife, Lisa, of Galena; one daughter, Kimberly Crume, and husband, Dwight, of Auror; 17 grandchildren, Tennile Lee (J.J.), Kelby Williams (Janie), Kelsey Cox (Dylan), Camille Crume, Olivia Williams (Kyle), Madison Williams, Preston Crume, Brent Williams, Lydia Crume, Braylee Williams, Bryce Williams, Will Williams, Sidney Dawson, Bailey Williams, Parker Williams, Brayden Williams, and Addison Williams; 10 great-grandchildren, Chezney, Jentri, Adelaide, Lincoln, Sawyer, Fletcher, Kampbell, Merritt, Ruth, and Whitley; one brother, Paul Williams (Vicki) of Springfield; and one sister-in-law Carolyn Williams of Marionville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Loyd is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Jerry Williams and Gene Williams.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 11:00 in Westrip Funeral Home Crane, Missouri. Burial was held at Mars Hill Cemetery Crane.
