JEWELL SMITH

Jewell Lavern Smith, 89, of Galena, MO, passed away on April 9, 2024.

Born the daughter of Jude and Carrie Mae (Carter) Moore, on September 29, 1934.

Lavern was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Smith; son Kerry Smith; daughter Carol Dodd; parents, and siblings Carol, Tom, Joe, L.R. Moore and Gary Moore and two grandchildren.

Survivors include: two sons Neal Smith (Regenia) and Joe Smith (Sheila); two daughters Judy Hall (Wally, Jr.) and Crystal Rice (Dewayne); nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15, 2024 in Ponce Pentecostal Church, Ponce, MO. Funeral services followed and burial was at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
