Jesse Hiram Meek

Jesse Hiram Meek, of Harrison, and formerly of Marionville, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Hillcrest Home. He was 92 years old.

The son of Ralph Meek and Marie (McGowan) Tyler was born on September 1, 1931 in Erie, Kansas.

Jesse was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War. Jesse was a retired Deputy Sheriff from Ventura County, California. When he moved to Missouri, he took up farming and truck driving, and was an avid fisherman and enjoyed traveling. Jesse was a loving father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John, Raymond, and R.L. Meek; and one sister, Patty Tyler.

Survivors include one son, Brett Meek; one daughter, Terri Hylton; five grandchildren, Bradley, Scott, and Jared Hylton, Regan and Ryan Meek; one brother, Jack Tyler; one sister-in-law, Judy Meek; two nephews, Dan and David Meek; and his former wife and best friend, Fran Meek.

Graveside service is Friday, October 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Cemetery in Crane. Steve Rogers will officiate.
